Welcome to St. Pascal's Childhood Learning Center
Preschool Program is for 3 & 4 year old children
Pre-Kindergarten is for 4 & 5 year old children; the year before entering Kindergarten

OUR MISSION
Our family-friendly atmosphere provides flexible, high-quality care and cognitive-based learning opportunities. We are an intentional leader and develop the program around quality, safety and utilizing best-practice methods. These ideals nurture and develop your child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development, and inspire life-long learning.

Our goal is to support children and their ever-developing autonomy. We will encourage children to make sensible choices, use their developing coordination and intelligence to achieve tasks, problem solve and encourage them to add to their skill set. We will demonstrate, provide picture cues, encouragement and predictable routines and thoughtful guidance.

GENERAL INFORMATION
St. Pascal’s Childhood Learning Center is a non-profit childcare center licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. St. Pascal’s Childhood Learning Center is non-denominational; however, it is founded on Catholic principles. St. Pascal’s Childhood Learning Center will attempt to fulfill the needs of the Childhood Learning Center (age 33 months to the first day of kindergarten) through qualified teachers’ planned curriculum. Our staff includes a director, teachers, experienced classroom aides, and an occasional student teacher. It is the policy and commitment of St. Pascal’s Childhood Learning Center not to discriminate on the basis of race, age, color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, or religion.

PRESCHOOL
The preschool program is designed to prepare our students for Pre-Kindergarten.  The preschool program is for children who are thirty-three months and older. A theme-based curriculum is provided with many hands on learning activities that allow students to learn through creative expressions and exploration. The preschool program encourages social development and fosters independence.  The staff works hard to meet each child's physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs and promote development in each area. EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING (ECS)
Early Childhood Screening (ECS) is required by State Law before starting Kindergarten. Screen at age 3 to help find health and learning problems sooner, so help may be found. ECS staff may connect you to early learning programs. ECS includes vision, hearing, speech, development and a health review.

To set up a FREE appointment, contact ECS in St. Paul at 651-632-3746. For Maplewood, Oakdale or North St. Paul, call 651-748-7289.

Additionally, if you have any concerns about your child’s growth and development, please talk to your child’s health care provider or call 1-866-693-GROW (4769) to talk to a professional and find out ways in which you can get connected to various resources in Minnesota.
